Introducing the NEW Cardio Zone at Body Matters!

Our new cardio zone compliments the resistance circuit perfectly by providing your body with a different mode of exercise.  Cardio exercise is excellent for burning both body fat and calories which helps with weight loss.  It also improves fitness, stamina and muscle strength, increasing your metabolic rate, toning up muscles and increasing blood flow to all areas of the body.

In the same way we monitor you on the resistance circuits, we will personalise a programme for you and continue to monitor you and help you achieve your goals, ensuring you get the most out of each visit.

The cardio zone comprises the following:

  • Treadmills - Don’t be scared – we’re not going to try to get everyone jogging!  A brisk walk for 20 minutes using the incline mechanism will get your heart pumping sufficiently to give you’re the cardio benefits without the need to run. 
  • Exercise bikes – Similar to those at the start of each circuit, we will use these to challenge you to push yourself a little harder.  Perfect where no impact work is required.
  • Rowing machines – works all the major muscle groups in a way that minimised impact on the joints.
  • Cross Trainers – perfect for working both upper and lower bodies with very little impact on the joints. 

If are interested in using the cardio equipment you must have an induction first so that we can tailor your programme to your ability and goals.
